Richard & Matthew May

Owners and operators of Best Trash, the May Brothers are involved in the daily management and operations of the business. Together, they have 46 years of experience in the solid waste industry with 26 years specifically in the Houston metro area. Richard and Matthew started Best Trash because they believed in the power of a local business to bring superior service to their city and are proud to own the largest privately-owned residential waste removal company in Houston.

Cruz R.

Cruz is responsible for the day to day operations of Best Trash, all employees and personnel. With over 20 years experience in the solid waste collection industry, Cruz has worked for Richard and Matthew since 2004. He has been a part of Best Trash since its inception in November of 2009 and has been an integral part of hiring employees and managing routes and the growth to 60,000+ homes in less than two years.

 

Walter D.

Walter is responsible for safety and daily business operation of Best Trash. Walter started his career in the solid waste industry in 2007 as an employee on the back of the garbage truck picking up trash and worked his way up the ranks, becoming a driver and then being promoted to route and safety supervisor in 2015. He attended Lone Star College and received his degree in Business.

Christie L.

With over 15 years experience in the solid waste collection industry, Christie has worked for Richard and Matthew May since 2003 and serves as Best Trash’s office manager, covering the responsibilities of human resources, sales,  payroll.  Christie is a University of Houston alumni with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business.

Karyn Z.

With over 15 years experience in the solid waste collection industry, Karyn has worked for Richard and Matthew May since 2005 and joined the Best Trash team in 2014 as our AP/AR manager. She handles several responsibilities for the company, including the monthly billing for MUD/HOA accounts, accounts receivables for individual billed residents. Karyn received her degree in Business Management and certificate in Business Technology from Houston Community College.

Casey V.

Casey joined the Best Trash team in 2017 as a Customer Service Representative. She has many years of experience working in customer service and call center environments.  She has transitioned into the role of Customer Service Supervisor.  She is responsible for strategizing and monitoring the daily activities of the Customer Service Representatives, along with training CSRs in areas of customer service and company policies.  Casey also handles some portion of account receivables for individual billed residents. Casey is originally from Oklahoma City where she majored in Psychology at Oklahoma City Community College.
